Sweet Apricot Kernels
Our organic Sweet Apricot Kernels, the seed found inside the pit of the apricot, are sourced from Uzbekistan. Apricot Kernels contain a unique nutrient called Amygdalin, otherwise known as B17, which studies suggest may have anti-inflammatory and pain relieving effects and support the immune system. The amount of amygdalin is dependent on the variety of kernel: sweet vs bitter. Our Sweet Apricot Kernels contain a much lower concentration of B17 than the bitter variety, though it may still be present. We recommend consuming only small amounts of the kernels (10-12 seeds) a day as amygdalin can be converted into cyanide in the body and is not safe to consume in large amounts. Ours are vegan, organic and raw.

Coconut Palm Sugar
While coconut palm sugar is not actually a nut or nut product it does come from the same tree as a coconut so we thought it was appropriate anyways! Coconut Palm Sugar is made by draining the sap of the coconut blossom and processing it into syrup, the syrup is then dried into sugar crystals. While coconut palm sugar is not a zero calorie sweetener and contains as many carbohydrates as conventional sugar, it is considered to be a lower glycemic sweetener. In addition, coconut palm sugar does contain trace amounts of vitamins and minerals making it a good alternative to white sugar. Our coconut sugar is organic, non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free.
Try this wonderful spiced nut blend recipe for a satisfying holiday snack:
½ cup Brazil Nuts (broken into halves)
½ cup raw cashews
1 tbsp coconut oil
1-2 tsp coconut palm sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp pink Himalayan salt
Preheat over to 250F. Toss all ingredients in a bowl, spread on a cookie sheet and roast for 1 hour.
