Food sources high in lysine are beef, lean chicken, pork chops, tuna, king crab, firm tofu, low-fat ricotta, milk, navy beans, and peas. Vegans who don’t eat beans or tofu may not get enough of this nutrient. A Lysine supplement may be helpful at times.
