Those who have been shopping here for any length of time appreciate knowing the inner workings. These are store policies developed over time to serve our local customers better. Read on for some tips on saving money here, too.
We would be delighted to special order products for you! We require a pre-payment for all items not usually inventoried in our store. Our natural suppliers are vast in number and some may require ordering minimum quantities. We also offer a discount on non-sale case purchases.
Non-sale products purchased by the case are entitled to a 10% case discount. A case is whatever number our distributor designates and this can vary. This might be 6, 12, 18, or 24 individual products of one kind, ordered at one time.
Tuesday and Thursday are our Senior Discount days. We offer 10% off purchases to senior citizens age 60 and older. Please let the cashier know that you qualify for the discount at the beginning of your purchase. Products already discounted or on sale are not eligible to be discounted further.
We want you to be happy with your purchases no matter the reason! From time to time it may become necessary to make a return. Please bring your returned item along with the original sales receipt within 30 days to ensure you receive what is due to you. We offer a refund in the same manner in which you paid. If a sales receipt is not presented, we will issue a store credit for the most recent product sale price available.
Shop safely in the store following these guidelines. Please use hand sanitizer at the front door. Request disposable gloves if you prefer. Store capacity is limited so we can all respect social distancing. Note the floor indicators to help remind you about distancing. Shopping carts and high touch surfaces are cleaned regularly for your protection. Plexiglass sneezeguards are installed at each checkout register for the protection of our staff and shoppers. We ask all shoppers to wear a mask. Food sampling has been temporarily discontinued.
Alternatively, you can enter your own shopping list online for curbside pickup.
All of us like a holiday! Martindale’s observes the following holidays and therefore will be closed on these days:
•Thanksgiving Day •Christmas Day •New Year’s Day
Additionally, we generally close early, at 5pm, on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
Reusable Bag Refund
We encourage our customers to protect our environment by offering a bag refund at the cash register. We will give back .05 for each final bag you bring from home and fill. In this way, you can keep reusing the same bags over and over instead of requiring a fresh paper or plastic bag with each shopping trip. Keep your bags in your car for ready accessibility. Every little bit helps when it comes to conserving natural resources and reducing the waste filling up our landfills. (This refund excludes produce and bulk bags.) During COVID 19 shoppers may be asked to fill their own bags in order to protect our staff.
Purchase Gift Cards
We offer Martindale’s Natural Market gift cards! Give the gift of natural health and well being to a friend or loved one. Ask us at the cash register and we’ll be glad to assist in your gift card purchases for holidays, birthdays, and “just because”. Some even like to invest in a gift card for themselves in order to help keep to a budget. We also offer digital e-gift cards on our website.
