City Team Chester is doing something positive about poverty, homelessness, and addiction. It is an organization right in our back yard deserving support. For example, the men’s shelter provides a clean bed, nourishing food, and a shower to those in need. However, the care men receive goes far beyond the physical. Men gain encouragement and mentoring along with comfort for the body. Furthermore, in the men’s program, a holistic, Christ-centered road back to life occurs. Here is why we chose to donate recent t-shirt sale profits to City Team.

Low-income families, single mothers, and young children are needy and the Christian organization is there to meet these women. Beyond diapers, cribs, and bottles come back-to-school backpacks, Easter baskets and Christmas presents. This is a far cry from “once-a-year” help. Caring volunteers collect donations and make deliveries on an ongoing basis. Here is another reason we picked this recipient for our t-shirt drive.

As part of our 150th-anniversary celebration, we sold a batch of custom t-shirts. It was announced that all profits would go to City Team Chester. We are so pleased to announce that $250 was the sum total donation. Clearly, it couldn’t go to a much better group.

City Team Feeds the Hungry

The Hope Cafe provides royal dining for the most poverty affected folks in Chester. Food is important to us, a natural food market. Here is another reason we gladly have given to deserving City Team Chester.
